** Prerequisites: Skaters must have passed Basic Skills 3 to enroll in Hockey Classes. **
LEARN TO SKATE USA MEMBERSHIP
- All Learn-to Skate participants must be current members of Learn to Skate USA. All participants must register/renew at www.learntoskateusa.com for Learn to Skate Membership. This membership runs from 7/1/-6/30 each year, regardless of the time of registration.
- The annual fee is $16 plus the applicable processing and handling fee $1.25.
- With your annual fee, you will receive secondary sports accident insurance.

Beginner Hockey (Ages 6 & Up)
The Hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. In four levels, skaters will learn how to be more proficient and agile on the ice. Proper skating techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus on the levels. All elements in Beginner Hockey will be taught without a puck. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, use of edges and other necessary fundamentals to be successful in hockey practices and game situations.
Required Equipment:
Hockey helmet with cage, ice hockey gloves
Recommended:
Ice hockey skates (or use our rental skates; cost included in class fee)
Learn-to-Play Hockey (Ages 6 & Up)
Learn to Play program offers a program for skaters interested in learning the game of hockey. Instructors will teach more advanced skating, along with introductory puck-handling techniques and players will participate in small area games to help reinforce these techniques. Learn to Play Hockey is for children who have completed the Beginner Hockey Program.
Required Equipment:
Hockey helmet with cage, ice hockey skates, elbow pads, shoulder pads, hockey pants, shin pads, hockey gloves, hockey stick.
In Addition, We Recommend:
Jersey, hockey socks, jock shorts, mouth guard, neck guard
Elite Hockey / Developmental Program (Ages 7 & Up)
The Elite program provides skills training in skating, balance, teamwork, and game concepts. The program will prepare players for participation in house leagues or travel teams.
